Setup and recurring review

Make the data path understandable.

Start with your systems, access, and reporting questions. Confirm the setup scope before connecting a source.

What to prepare before connecting.

01

Your practice systems

Identify your PIMS, accounting, payroll, and scheduling systems. Bring the product edition, account region, and the data you need to review.

02

Someone authorized to connect

OAuth connections require an authorized account. ezyVet setup requires approved integration credentials and a production Site UID. ADP access has provider-specific approval requirements.

03

Your reporting definitions

Confirm categories, date ranges, and who will review discrepancies. Historical imports and missing mappings need review before comparisons are meaningful.

Connection, mapping, and validation.

01

Connect approved sources

Your authorized account approves supported access. Confirm required permissions and any vendor charges before connection.

02

Review mapping and history

Check service categories and available history. Have your bookkeeper or practice manager review ambiguous classifications.

03

Check the first reporting window

Compare selected records, totals, source labels, and dates against the underlying system. Resolve gaps before using the dashboard in a management review.

04

Agree on ownership and support

Choose who checks stale connections, who maintains mappings, and how questions reach support. Setup timing and responsibilities should be agreed in your proposal.

Check integration requirements

A review cadence you can sustain.

01

See what changed

Start with the reporting period, revenue trend, collections, and labor context. A movement in a metric is a question to investigate.

02

Check the underlying data

Look at the source, reporting range, and last update. Check category mappings before comparing periods.

03

Identify what needs review

Review receivables, missing pay rates, mapping gaps, and stale data in context. Avoid decisions based on incomplete inputs.

04

Discuss the next action

Agree on a follow-up with your practice manager, bookkeeper, or accountant. Return to the same reporting window to review progress.

Scheduled source refresh is separate from your review habit. Choose a practical recurring conversation; check last update and source status every time.
